Chapter 03 · How to issue a card

What you can set
Hide the amountThe recipient sees only the greeting; the value is revealed to the cashier.

After you tap «Issue»:
A public certificate page with a QR code is generated.
A nicely formatted email with the link goes to the recipient.
If no email is set and your account has SMS credit — an SMS is sent as a fallback.
Chapter 04 · Redeeming at the counter
Scanner is already in the app
In the app → Gift cards → QR scanner.
Scan the code either from the customer's phone screen or from a printed
page — the app finds the card and opens its detail view.

and full redemption history — all on one screen.

Chapter 05 · Nearby — card pops up by itself
Geo-trigger in Apple Wallet
If the shop has an address configured, the certificate in Apple Wallet
gets a geo-trigger. When the recipient walks past your venue with the
saved card, iPhone surfaces it on the lock-screen automatically — they
remember the certificate not sitting at home, but standing right in
front of your sign.
Shop address. Set in the shop's settings in the app — the «Address» field. Coordinates are resolved automatically by geocoding.
Trigger radius — around 100 meters. Defined by iOS itself, no separate setting needed.
Lock-screen text. A short reminder up to 80 characters — for example, «Near Velvet & Rose, you have a $50 gift card». The «Geo-notification text» field in the Wallet shop settings.
Apple Wallet only. iPhone and Apple Watch. Google Wallet doesn't support geo-triggers — Android customers won't receive this notification.

All cards on one screen
The «Gift cards» section shows every card you've ever issued.
Filter by status:

Frequently asked
01What's the commission?+
SBS commission for issuing and redeeming gift cards — 0%. You only pay for your subscription plan.
02Is there a printable PDF?+
Not yet — only the digital link and QR code. The recipient gets a nicely designed email which they can print themselves, but we don't produce a fancy branded PDF at the moment.
03Can I undo a redemption?+
Through support — email support@sbs.im, we'll restore the card's status and remaining balance.
04Does the customer need internet?+
No. A screenshot of the QR or a printed link is enough. The cashier needs internet so the app can look up the certificate.
05Integration with POS / ERP?+
Via our API — available on the «Business» plan. Example: when your POS writes a receipt, it can automatically redeem the certificate through the SBS API.
06Is there a limit on the number of cards?+
No — issue as many as you need. The app list shows the last 50; search and filters reach all of them.
